Get it In-Da-Ya
It's been an awesome privilege to be part of so many lives since we launched word4U2day at Easter in 2009. Over 25000 copies of this devotional magazine for teens and young adults go out every three months. Here's the good news-it's a gift! No strings attached!
Newsboys in Space! The Space Shuttle’s astronauts recently woke up to the newsboys’ song, In Wonder. Maybe they were tuned into Vision radio! Actually, the music was compliments of NASA and the astronauts chatted about the song afterwards. But you don’t have to go into orbit to wake up to the newsboys.
Planetshakers 2010 Hey, Easter is a time for celebration! We remember with wonder the Lord's resurrection and, to make it doubly joyful, it's word4U2day's birthday! Our baby will be 1 year old in 2010!
So come and see us at Planetshakers 20TEN (6 - 9 April 2010) in Melbourne and say ‘hi' to the team! Help us blow out the candle (!!!) and cut the cake.
Easter in Toowoomba For three incredible days in April 2010, Toowoomba Qld will be transformed into Easterfest City with a street festival, Easter Praise at the Empire Theatre and special events at churches all over town. UCB will be at Easterfest with Vision broadcasting live and we'll celebrating the first birthday of word4U2day,

...real people. word4U2day has been such a blessing to me. I read it every morning, and so often God speaks directly to me about my current circumstances through it. A very special thing that happened last year was that my younger sister had started to go to church for 'special events'. God put it on my heart to give her a subscription to word4U2day for Christmas. I was hesitant, not sure of her reaction, but God kept at me, and I did.
So Many Uses!
word4U2day isn't just used by young people!

Youth pastors use it in their ministries to encourage Bible reading. Teachers use it as a morning devotional with their students. Grandparents send it to their grandkids.

Stewardship (3)—Who's pulling the strings?

Stewardship (3)—Who's pulling the strings?

'…Well done, good and faithful servant…' Matthew 25:21 NKJ

The next thing to learn is that God isn't a puppeteer! We're not in some episode of Thunderbirds where God's written the script and is pulling the strings to make sure we do what He wants, when He wants and how He wants, with Him speaking for us. No way! When God gives us good things, whether that's money, gifts, or skills, He won't force us to use them well. It's entirely up to us. We have the freedom to run our own show, to mess it up or make what He's given us grow amazingly. Looking at the parable of the talents again, we see that the first two servants made their money grow, whereas the third wimped out and just buried what he had been given, not doing anything positive with it. He was scared he wouldn't be able to do enough, and the master would be mad; so instead he did diddly squat. Not good enough, the master says. It's easy to read the story and think he was an idiot, but sometimes we may find we're doing that with God too: we're scared to use what He's given us in case we don't get it right. But remember God won't ask you to do anything you can't. By His grace, you can do all things that He asks of you. So don't wait for Him to tap you on the shoulder, set to it yourself.
